The current shared hosting lineup
InMotion currently lists Launch, Power, and Pro shared hosting. Launch supports two websites with 100GB of NVMe storage. Power supports ten websites with 200GB. Pro supports forty websites with 300GB and currently lists 2 vCPU cores, 4GB RAM, and a dedicated IP.
Current advertised prices
InMotion may show introductory rates that depend on the plan and billing term. Renewal rates can differ from the initial offer. Compare the amount due at checkout, the length of the first term, and the published renewal cost before you commit.
What all three plans have in common
InMotion currently lists free SSL, malware and DDoS protection, a web application firewall, website migration, a domain offer, and cPanel email accounts across the shared lineup. Support access differs by tier. Launch currently lists chat and ticket support while Power and Pro list phone support too.
Who should look at each tier
Launch is the natural place to compare for one or two modest sites. Power gives more room for someone managing several sites. Pro becomes more relevant when you want a larger site allowance and explicitly listed CPU and RAM resources without moving straight to a VPS.
Questions to answer before choosing shared hosting
How many websites will live in the account? Do you need email hosting? How important is phone support? Are backups included in the way you expect? What happens when the introductory term ends? Those questions usually reveal more than a long feature list.
When shared hosting stops being the simple choice
